Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Health Informatics Manager (Field-based) to align HIT resources with customer needs across Market Access. You will translate data insights into practical opportunities to improve patient identification and clinical workflows, collaborating with health systems and cross-functional teams.

You will educate customers on approved EHR-enabled tools, support their evaluation, and contribute insights to account planning while ensuring governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years in health informatics or EHR-related roles (hospital, practice, or patient-care setting).
• Experience with inpatient or ambulatory clinical workflows and health IT, including front-end use of a major EHR platform (Epic, Athenahealth, Oracle Cerner, Meditech, OncoEMR, iKnowMed).
• Customer-facing experience assessing needs and collaborating across teams with hands-on knowledge of EHR products, CDS, patient identification, order sets, care pathways, reporting tools, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with health-system stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align HIT resources with customer needs and workflows.
• Assess customer workflows, EHR readiness, data insights, and barriers to identify opportunities to improve patient identification and care coordination.
• Educate customers on approved EHR-enabled resources and support their evaluation for potential use.
• Contribute HIT expertise to account planning and customer engagement, sharing insights, risks, opportunities, and HIT trends.
• Serve as a HIT subject matter resource across Market Access and other GSK units, coordinating customer support and field input.
• Ensure customer ownership of clinical, technical, implementation, privacy, security, and governance decisions in line with GSK policies.
