Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Health Informatics Manager for a field-based role across TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, NM, CO, UT. You will translate HIT insights into practical opportunities to enhance patient identification, care coordination, and operational efficiency within Market Access.

You will educate customers on approved EHR-enabled resources, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure governance and compliance while shaping HIT strategy across priority therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in health informatics or EHR-related roles in a hospital, physician practice, or patient-care environment.
• Experience with inpatient or ambulatory clinical workflows and health information technology, including front-end use of a major EHR platform (e.g., Athenahealth, Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Meditech, OncoEMR, iKnowMed).
• Customer-facing experience assessing needs and collaborating across teams with hands-on knowledge of EHR products, clinical decision support, patient identification, order sets, care pathways, reporting tools, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with health-system stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align HIT resources with customer needs and workflows.
• Assess customer workflows, EHR readiness, data insights, and barriers to identify opportunities for improved patient identification and care delivery.
• Educate customers on approved EHR-enabled, digital, and measurement resources and support their evaluation for potential use.
• Contribute HIT expertise to account planning and customer engagement, sharing insights and trends with internal partners.
• Serve as a HIT subject matter resource across Market Access and other GSK units, coordinating customer support and providing field input on scalable tools.
• Ensure customer ownership of clinical, technical, implementation, privacy, security, and governance decisions per GSK policies.
