Job summary

Hotwire Communications Ltd. is seeking a senior Commercial Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair telecom systems on commercial and residential properties.

You will interpret blueprints, mount control panels and sensors, and ensure FTTH services including video, data, voice, and home networking. Requirements include 5+ years of cable/Internet installation experience, fiber optics familiarity, and relevant Cisco/Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Fiber optics experience; Cisco CCT/CCENT and MCSA certifications are plus.
• Active, clean driver’s license required; ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain or repair telecom systems on commercial/residential properties.
• Mount panels, sensors, cameras, and wire components per plans.
• Test data cabling and security hardware; diagnose hardware/software/network issues.
• Lead lower level technicians and develop processes to reduce rework.
• Ensure FTTH home components deliver video, data, voice, and Wi‑Fi services.
