Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to cover the Long Beach area in California. You will identify and develop new business while expanding relationships with existing customers, focusing on equipment rental and related services.

This role combines field visits, planning, and strategic selling to meet and exceed quotas. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of outside sales experience in industrial markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Promotions, Advertising Sales or Business Administration preferred.
• 3–5 years of outside sales experience in the industrial market or heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Daily territory management and revenue growth through visits to customer job sites/offices.
• Develop a networking list of potential clients and contact them by phone and internet.
• Plan and organize sales strategies to achieve goals.
• Maintain and exceed quotas by renting and selling equipment.
• Identify customer needs and respond considering market conditions and pricing.
• Penetrate strategic accounts to diversify the customer base.
