Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Manager, Field Engineering - Strategic Digital Native Business to lead a team of Solutions Architects focused on digital native customers, driving adoption of the Databricks Platform across data, analytics and AI workloads. You will partner with sales, product, and engineering, hire and develop talent, and travel to customer sites for executive sessions and workshops.

Strong leadership and strategic account experience required; 4+ years in data tech and 3+ years leading

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the data space with a technical product (data warehousing, big data, cloud infrastructure, or machine learning).
• 3+ years leading technical customer-facing teams (hiring, onboarding, and growing in a high-growth environment).
• Proven track record of building a territory, growing strategic accounts, and exceeding targets.
• Inspiring a team vision about the digital natives business.
• Experience aligning executives in accounts to guide strategic decisions.
• Ability to collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to deliver outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a team of deeply technical Solutions Architects capable of guiding digital native customers across data, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Adapt the SA team's skills and engagement model to match the needs of digital native customers.
• Consistently meet or exceed targets by qualifying workloads, identifying use cases, building proofs of concept, and establishing trusted advisor relationships.
• Travel to customer sites for executive sessions, technical workshops, and relationship-building.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, services, sales, and other teams to ensure customer success.
• Stay current with emerging data and AI trends in the digital native sector.
