Job summary

Databricks in San Francisco is seeking a Manager of Field Engineering to lead a Solutions Architects team focused on data, analytics, and AI workloads for digital-native customers. You will guide adoption of the Databricks Platform and ensure outcomes across enterprise accounts.

You will partner with Sales, Product, Services, and Engineering to scale impact, coach staff on qualifications and proofs of concept, and travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in the data space with a technical product such as data warehousing, big data, cloud infrastructure, or machine learning.
• 3+ years leading technical customer-facing teams: hiring, onboarding, and scaling in a high-growth environment.
• History of building a territory, growing strategic accounts, and exceeding targets.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop Solutions Architects supporting digital-native customers’ data, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Coach the team on technical qualification, use cases, proofs of concept, and customer engagement.
• Coordinate with Sales, Product, Services, and Engineering to support customer outcomes.
• Travel to customer sites for executive sessions, technical workshops, and relationship-building.
• Establish relationships across internal organizations to ensure customer and team success.
• Stay current with emerging Data and AI trends in the digital-native tech sector.
