Job summary

Nexis Builds is seeking a Field Engineer to support project delivery across multiple sites. This remote-based role requires frequent travel and close collaboration with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to move designs into reality with quality and safety.

You'll oversee on-site execution, inspect work, troubleshoot issues in real time, and manage surveying, layout, and documentation while staying compliant with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of field engineering, site supervision, or construction management experience.
• Experience on large infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, or similar construction management software.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site project execution per design plans and safety standards.
• Inspect sites, monitor progress, ensure engineering standards and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and troubleshoot on-site technical challenges in real time.
• Assist with land surveys, topographic mapping, and site layout planning.
• Coordinate stakeholders between project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate delivery and use of materials and heavy equipment.
• Maintain detailed project logs, daily reports, and photo documentation.
• Support schedule and budget monitoring to identify savings.
