Job summary

DN LLC is seeking a Field Engineer to support Project Managers across all construction phases on heavy-civil projects. You will assist with planning, bidding support, and on-site management to ensure timely, quality delivery.

This project-based position requires frequent travel to sites across the United States, with a focus on coordination, procurement, and subcontractor oversight to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor pricing and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Utilize AutoCAD for casting bed and crane layout; assess site conditions for equipment choices.
• Assist in pre-project inspections, verify site layouts, and contribute to estimating during pre-bid and post-construction phases.
• Oversee concrete procurement, quality control, and post-project analysis.
• Coordinate material submittals, approvals, and lead times with Project Coordinator to meet timelines.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure performance aligns with timelines and quality standards.
• Coordinate crane operations, schedule management, and communication with the superintendent.
• Travel to project sites for preconstruction meetings, QC and safety inspections.
• Support project team in detailed pre-job planning and weekly schedule updates.
