Job summary

NexGen Contracting is seeking a Traveling Project Engineer to support our fast-paced construction teams across multiple sites. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience on project lifecycles, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

You will assist with safety programs, cost tracking, scheduling, procurement, and reporting while learning company standards and regulatory requirements in a dynamic regional market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or at least four years of relevant construction experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, CMIC or similar software.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to different project stages, and contribute to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project safety compliance efforts.
• Support understanding and distribution of job cost information and estimates.
• Contribute to project sequencing and scheduling.
• Help track progress and analyze production.
• Assist in cost reporting and administrative duties.
• Support material and equipment procurement processes.
• Assist with change order tracking and coordination with general contractors/owners.
• Participate in reporting requirements including field time, productivity, and safety.
• Learn and comply with company standards and industry regulations.
