Job summary

Nexis Builds is seeking a Remote Project Engineer who can manage complex civil projects from concept through completion. This role combines remote coordination with on-site travel to oversee execution, liaise with clients, and ensure quality standards are met.

You will work with engineering and project management teams to maintain schedules, budgets, and documentation, while applying strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Travel is required to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Civil/Construction).
• 1+ years of project engineering or construction experience.
• Experience on large civil projects is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Strong communication for remote and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and work plans with PMs and teams.
• Review designs, specifications, and blueprints for compliance.
• Travel to project sites to oversee execution and coordinate with field teams.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot on-site issues, and keep projects moving.
• Ensure materials, techniques, and workmanship meet standards.
• Maintain records: RFIs, submittals, change orders and reports.
• Support procurement, logistics and material coordination.
• Communicate with clients and contractors to ensure alignment.
