Job summary

Marking Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to implement field engineering and oversee scanning and installation activities on MSI projects. Qualifications

• Experience in field engineering and installation activities.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required.
• Strong communication with sales and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with sales and engineering departments to determine customer project needs and timelines for implementation.
• Performs pre-tagging activities at project sites—verifying correctness of Line list to create a Bill of Materials.
• Determines and clarifies the sizes and quantities of MSI products (signs, pipe markers, etc.) needed.
• Submits placement of materials and finalizes material orders for production.
• Prepare clearly illustrated field notes for Installation or AutoCAD teams.
• Reads and updates Project Definition Documents (PDD) and responds to project needs.
• Identifies quality control issues during field engineering and installation and develops corrective actions.
• Updates Daily Status Reports with project and material information.
• Ensures site safety protocols are followed and leads site safety meetings as needed.
• Mentors new Installation Technicians on task-specific activities.
