Job summary

Employee Magnets seeks a Field Service Technician to install equipment and investigate customer-reported technical problems, aiming to eliminate future operational issues. The role requires substantial on-site work and extensive travel, coordinating with Field Service, Engineering, and other teams to ensure rapid repairs and full equipment functionality.

Responsibilities include reviewing inspection reports, performing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and customer specifications

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to obtain passport and major credit card (for car rental), ability to attend and pass safety orientation exams at customer locations.
• Must also be able to obtain industry required certifications, such as TWIC, to gain entry access to customer locations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment and perform routine repairs.
• Partner with customers to ensure excellent communication and service.
• Ensure new or modified installations of equipment are completed to meet standards and customer specifications.
• Review performance reports from customers and inspect malfunctioning equipment to determine nature and scope of problem.
• Coordinate problem resolutions with Field Service, Engineering, and other departments to expedite repairs.
