Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Field Engineer in East Hartford, CT, to provide desktop, server, and network support for designated clients and applications. You will install and maintain PCs and related devices, perform adds/changes, and certify systems while meeting SLA targets.

Video interviews and equal opportunity commitment are part of the process. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with potential technical certification or Associate Degree, and typically 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• May require technical certification or Associate Degree.
• Generally, 1-2years’ experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Field Engineer for specific clients and/or for specific products and applications, including tech kiosks / desks.
• Provides software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, AV rooms and other networked devices.
• Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers, peripherals and other networked devices.
• Supports network products from both operational and maintenance perspectives, including preventative maintenance activities.
• Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required.
• Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications.
• Provides follow-up on problems or escalations.
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.
• Meets SLA requirements and ensures client satisfaction in all interactions.
