Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a traveling Quality Inspector to oversee inspection and monitoring of large wind and solar projects across the US. You will notify project management of issues, complete documentation, and ensure workmanship meets plans and codes.

Expect 8–12 month project rotations with per diem, travel home rotations, and vehicle/phone allowances. Ideal candidates will have construction/engineering education or equivalent experience, strong QA/QC skills, and the ability to manage field

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• High school graduate with 2+ years of construction experience acceptable.
• Must be able to complete and pass local/state SWPPP inspector program.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect and ensure quality of work on wind/solar projects; review various disciplines.
• Verify conformance with design documents and submittals.
• Prepare and maintain Daily Reports with quantities and resources used.
• Manage punch lists and QA/QC documentation; coordinate with Field Quality Manager.
• Mentor and train junior inspectors and maintain field safety practices.
