Job summary

Luster National is seeking Field Engineers for large, complex heavy civil infrastructure programs in the Fresno area. You will verify on-site work against approved documents, maintain field records, and support progress payments and close-out.

The role requires 5+ years of field engineering on big projects, and familiarity with document control tools like Bluebeam, Procore, and Aconex. Collaboration and accurate reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, construction engineering, construction management, or structural engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of field engineering or construction management experience on large heavy-civil projects.
• Experience maintaining field records, QA documentation, and submittals.
• Familiarity with document control tools like Bluebeam Revu, Procore, e-Builder, Aconex.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities against approved plans and document what was built and under what conditions.
• Prepare and maintain project field records including daily reports, quantity records, photographs, and logs.
• Verify quantities and assist review of progress payment applications.
• Review submittals and drawings for conformance and track disposition.
• Coordinate RFI responses to keep field work from being delayed.
• Witness testing and material sampling, recording nonconforming work.
• Verify structures work against drawings before contractor proceeds.
• Document field issues and changed work to support claims.
• Support close-out, including punch lists and as-built records.
