Job summary

Luster National seeks Resident Engineers to support large heavy civil infrastructure programs (highways, bridges, transit, airports, water/wastewater). Roles run the field office, administer contracts, oversee inspectors, and ensure plans/specs are followed.

This is a candidate pool for future openings with a strong focus on collaboration and documentation. Candidates should have a civil engineering or related degree and 5+ years of field experience on $100M+ projects, with proficiency in PMIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of construction management/resident engineering on large heavy civil projects.
• Experience administering field contracts (submittals, RFIs, change management, progress payments).
• Experience overseeing inspection staff on active construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs and schedules.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Unifier, Kahua, e-Builder.
• MS Office Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts in the field and hold contractors to plans and specs.
• Oversee inspection staff and field documentation to program standards.
• Coordinate correspondence with contractor and design team, and respond to inquiries.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings; coordinate technical responses.
• Evaluate progress against schedule and verify quantities for payments.
• Monitor safety, QA/QC, and field documentation; ensure traceability for audits.
• Maintain complete construction records and as-built documentation in PMIS.
