Job summary

CaptiveAire Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer based in St. Louis to support our sales team with construction management and field engineering. The role involves extensive fieldwork, site travel across a defined territory, and office-based tasks with training and mentoring.

The position offers hands-on product exposure, training, and growth opportunities within a leading HVAC manufacturer. Occasional travel for training and projects is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level technical degree in mechanical, electrical, construction or science field preferred.
• Hands-on internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel for training.
• FE Exam completion within 6 months expected for engineering graduates.

Responsibilities

• Field work on job sites and data analysis with remote troubleshooting.
• Product support – troubleshoot issues with existing and newly installed equipment.
• Maintain expert knowledge of CaptiveAire products.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, sales and customers to find best outcomes.
• Attend construction trade coordination meetings and startups.
• Review data from installed equipment to suggest product improvements.
• Use building design knowledge to review applications for customers.
• Provide training for outside contractors on CaptiveAire products.
• Provide reports to Regional Manager and other teams on feedback and issues.
