Job summary

CaptiveAire Systems in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Field Engineer to support the sales team with construction management and after-sales field service.

The role combines field and office work with extensive training under a mentor to develop product knowledge, troubleshooting, and engineering processes across the CaptiveAire line. The position requires travel to job sites within a defined territory and a strong hands-on technical background in HVAC/electrical systems, plus a proactive, go-getter

Qualifications

• The role requires 0-5 years of experience in a related field.
• 4-year technical degree in mechanical, electrical, construction or science-oriented curriculum preferred.
• Hands-on internship/co-op experience is preferred.
• Must enjoy hands-on product exposure.
• HVAC and/or electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Multi-tasking, problem solving and strong communication skills are essential.
• FE Exam completion in area of study within 6 months of employment anticipated.
• Go-getter attitude required and travel for training is expected.

Responsibilities

• Field and office mix: travel to job sites and remote data analysis with engineering input.
• Provide product support and troubleshooting for installed CaptiveAire equipment.
• Maintain expert knowledge of CaptiveAire products.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, sales and customers to optimize installed jobs.
• Attend construction trade coordination meetings and startups for successful outcomes.
• Analyze data from installed equipment to drive product improvements via CASLink monitoring.
• Provide training for outside contractors on CaptiveAire products.
