Job summary

CaptiveAire Systems in Dallas seeks a Field Engineer to support our sales team with construction management and after-sales field support. This role requires frequent travel to job sites and a mix of field and office work at the sales office in Dallas.

You will assist with installations, troubleshoot equipment, and work with engineering, service, and local sales teams to optimize outcomes on installed jobs while gathering data to inform product improvements.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of field or engineering experience required.
• 4-year technical degree preferred in mechanical, electrical, construction, or science.
• Hands-on internship/co-op experience preferred.
• Must enjoy hands-on product exposure and travel readiness.
• HVAC or electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent multitasking and communication skills.
• FE exam completion within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Split time between field work on job sites and data analysis/remote troubleshooting, with travel.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with installed equipment in the field.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, sales and customers to optimize installed jobs.
• Attend construction coordination meetings and startups on site.
• Review data from installed equipment to drive product improvements.
