Field Engineer – Heavy Civil & Environmental Projects (Remote)

Job summary

GHD is hiring a Construction Field Engineer to support environmental, heavy civil projects across the United States. The role involves field work on site, with rotations home and travel up to 50% across the US.

Projects include heavy civil, demolition, remediation, dredging, and general contracting. The candidate will ensure deadlines and quality control, participate in estimating, GPS surveying, and coordination with the project team.

Qualifications

• Construction related degree.
• 2 construction experience preferred.
• AutoCAD / Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with project proposals including reviewing requests for proposals, obtaining quotes and estimating.
• Assisting the Superintendent with managing project timelines, deadlines and requirements.
• Acting as key point of contact for ordering materials and equipment.
• GPS surveying and equipment set up.
• Estimating takeoffs.
• Assisting with weekly timesheets, expense reports and project tracking.
• Providing training to other team members as needed.
