Job summary

GHD is seeking entry-level Equipment Operators for its Construction group to operate a range of heavy equipment on earthwork and environmental projects across the United States. Travel is on a rotational basis: 3 weeks onsite, a weekend home, then another 3 weeks onsite, with travel, mobilization, hotel and per diem covered by GHD.

Responsibilities include safe operation, daily maintenance checks, supporting crews with physical labor, and interpreting engineered drawings to ensure quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating medium-sized or larger equipment.
• Proficient in basic operation of dozer, loader, excavator, roller/compactor or grader in production settings.
• Ability to read tape measures, transit and levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium equipment with high quality and safety.
• Meet daily production goals while safely operating equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on all equipment and vehicles.
• Provide physical labor using hand and power tools when needed.
• Read, interpret and construct according to engineered drawings/plans.
• Assist Superintendent and foreperson to ensure high-quality final products.
• Complete quarterly and yearly safety reporting forms.
