National Travel Construction Field Engineer

Job summary

GHD is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to work on diverse environmental and heavy civil projects across the United States. The role requires coordinating timelines, budgets, and field quality while traveling to project sites with rotations home regularly.

This position does not sponsor visas. You will support heavy civil, demolition, remediation, dredging, and general contracting efforts at sites nationwide, with an emphasis on safety and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Construction-related degree required.
• 2 years construction experience preferred.
• AutoCAD / Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Understanding of estimating software and GPS software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with project proposals including reviewing requests for proposals, obtaining quotes and estimating
• Assisting the Superintendent with managing project timelines, deadlines and requirements
• Acting as key point of contact for ordering materials and equipment
• GPS surveying and equipment set up
• Estimating takeoffs
• Assisting with weekly timesheets, expense reports and project tracking
• Providing training to other team members as needed
