Job summary

GHD in the Southeast United States seeks an Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental team. You’ll work with senior staff to develop your skills in contamination assessment and remediation within a hybrid office model.

The role covers field duties, sampling, report preparation, permit support, and client coordination for solid waste and remediation projects. Travel and field work are required, with growth opportunities in LFG and RNG related work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in environmental industries.
• SPCC/SPR, SPDES, and/or report preparation experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD is beneficial; advanced design experience is a plus.
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and perform field work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform field duties for environmental projects including inspection, monitoring, and oversight.
• Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants.
• Assist in responding to environmental emergencies and support client projects nationwide.
• Contribute to technical reports, work plans, cost estimates, and budgets.
• Assist with permit applications/renewals for solid waste facilities and contaminated sites.
• Support design, construction, and operation tasks for LFG and biogas systems.
