Job summary

GBA Builders is seeking a Field Engineer to support our growing Field Operations team. You’ll coordinate daily construction activities, promote jobsite safety, maintain project documentation, and support project execution across the United States.

Working with the Superintendent and project team, you’ll gain hands-on field experience while developing construction management and leadership skills. This is a full‑time position with opportunities across multiple project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (1–4 years experience).
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to the Health and Safety Program.
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety reviews, and training initiatives.
• Support the supervision and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
• Order materials and schedule deliveries to align with project schedules.
• Prepare detailed work plans and work packages.
• Assist with quality assurance, equipment scheduling, and interpretation of drawings and specifications.
• Verify quantity calculations and support field surveying and layout activities.
• Compile and process labor timesheets while maintaining accurate project records.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and support additional project needs as assigned by project leadership.
• Travel to and from job sites as needed to support field operations.
• Operating a motor vehicle on behalf of the company as an essential function of the role.
