Job summary

GBA Builders in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Field Engineer to support field operations nationwide. You will assist the superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and promote safety on site, while building project documentation and relationships with stakeholders.

The role requires a 4-year degree in construction management or engineering, OSHA 30, and 1–4 years of experience. Proficiency in MS Office and a team-oriented, adaptable mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; 1–4 years experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce GBA's Health and Safety Program on site.
• Assist with JHAs, safety reviews, and training initiatives.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to support project execution.
• Order materials and schedule deliveries to align with schedules.
• Prepare detailed work plans and work packages.
• Support quality assurance, equipment scheduling, and interpretation of drawings/specifications.
• Verify quantity calculations and assist with field surveying/layout.
• Maintain accurate labor timesheets and project records.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and assist leadership as needed.
• Travel to job sites to support field operations.
