Job summary

GBA Builders is seeking a Field Engineer to support our Field Operations team in Leesburg, VA, with travel across the United States. You will coordinate daily construction activities, promote safety, maintain project documentation, and assist with site supervision and layout.

This hands-on role offers growth in construction management and leadership skills. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 1–4 years of experience, OSHA 30, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field with 1–4 years of experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold GBA’s Health and Safety Program on all sites.
• Assist with JHAs, safety reviews, and training initiatives.
• Support supervision and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
• Order materials and schedule deliveries to meet project timelines.
• Prepare detailed work plans and work packages.
• Assist with quality assurance, equipment scheduling, and drawings interpretation.
• Verify quantities and assist field surveying and layout activities.
• Compile and process labor timesheets and maintain project records.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and support leadership with project needs.
• Travel to and from job sites; operate company vehicle as needed.
