Job summary

GBA Builders in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Field Engineer to support field operations, coordinate daily construction activities, promote safety, and maintain project documentation.

You will work with the Superintendent and project team to execute projects across the United States, gaining hands-on construction management and leadership experience. This role requires travel to job sites and a valid driver's license. A Bachelor's degree and OSHA 30 are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to safety.
• Assist with JHAs, safety reviews, and training.
• Support supervision and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
• Order materials and schedule deliveries per project schedules.
• Prepare detailed work plans and work packages.
• Assist with QA, equipment scheduling, and drawings interpretation.
• Verify quantity calculations and support field surveying.
• Maintain accurate labor timesheets and project records.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and support leadership needs.
• Travel to job sites as needed to support field operations.
• Operate a motor vehicle as part of the role.
