Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is hiring a Field Engineer in Savannah, GA to deliver durable building automation solutions across projects. You will install, commission, and optimize DDC systems, applying sound technical judgment and taking end-to-end ownership.

The role requires 2+ years in HVAC or building automation, IP networking and Modbus, a valid driver's license, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel is required and you will train customers and work with Project Managers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in HVAC, Building Automation, Information Technology, or Industrial Networking.
• Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• System Performance: Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems, ensuring controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks before they impact timelines.
• Technical Leadership: Train owners on system operation and partner with Project Managers to manage risks and improve execution.
• Travel & Growth: Travel as needed and adapt to changing schedules while taking end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
• Project Integrity: Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
