Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Advanced Facilities group on projects in data centers, semiconductor, and industrial markets. You will perform self-perform work embedded with a crafts team, learn our lean practices, and support project delivery with safety and quality in mind.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering and 2+ years of construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years construction experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to participate in federally required training or apprenticeship (depending on location).

Responsibilities

• Plans, executes and reports self-perform work.
• Pre-plans crew activities and updates supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with safety plans and conducts toolbox talks.
• Assists with cost control and process improvements.
• Supports quality assurance/quality control activities.
• On-site collaboration with superintendent and contractors.
• Participates in planning meetings and weekly work plans.
• Coordinates Lean practices and last planner system.
