Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Field Engineer for our Advanced Facilities Group. This role involves hands-on work embedded with a crafts crew on diverse projects across multiple markets, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and learning company standards.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in construction management or related field and 0–2 years of construction experience. On-site work and collaboration with foremen, journeymen, and subcontractors are core to daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Lears and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
• Works with tools and executes self-perform work while embedded as part of a crew of craftsmen to complete specific assigned tasks on a project.
• Acquires knowledge about company best practice standards and fundamentals for building and construction techniques through hands on, on-the-job training and regular work assignments.
• Builds relationships and develops communication and interpersonal skills with trades people and project team members such as foreman, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, etc.
