Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a FIELD ENGINEER to join the Advanced Facilities CORE team. This role supports project teams on complex industrial, data center, and manufacturing projects across the country, emphasizing safety, teamwork, and hands-on construction learning.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of construction experience, a related degree (preferred), and a willingness to engage in on-site training, Lean practices, and collaboration with foremen and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Works with tools and executes self-perform work while embedded as part of a crew of craftsmen to complete specific assigned tasks on a project.
• Builds relationships and develops communication and interpersonal skills with trades people and project team members such as foreman, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, etc.
• Learns and incorporates Lean practices into daily activities.
• Participates in weekly work plans and other meetings as warranted by business needs and site practices.
