Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Site Engineer/Construction Oversight professional to support daily operations at project sites under supervision. You will provide on-site engineering guidance and monitor progress, while assisting with submittals, RFIs, and quality control procedures.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s in engineering or construction management, knowledge of P6/MS Project, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar discipline from a four-year college or university.
• GC/EPC experience and/or training in energy infrastructure is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of P6 and MS Project scheduling platforms.
• Highly motivated, self-driven with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets injured.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
• Travel flexibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily construction operations at project sites under the supervision of the Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Site Manager.
• Provide on-site technical oversight, engineering guidance, and monitoring.
• Assist with preparation, review, and transmittal of project submittals and RFIs.
• Follow quality control procedures and inspection protocols.
• Troubleshoot on-site technical issues and develop solutions with engineers, subcontractors, and supervisors.
• Support cost control through coding timesheets and invoices.
• Track quantities and monitor progress of work packages.
• Provide planning and scheduling input.
• Track and compile materials, equipment, and labor records for change orders and field orders.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project reports.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input and process-improvement recommendations.
