Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Energy Marshal to join its Field Operations Team on a project-based basis across the United States. The role focuses on energization readiness, energy isolation, and safety compliance on site, with responsibilities spanning audits, reporting, and coordination with commissioning and QC teams.

The ideal candidate has NEC expertise, NFPA 70e certification, MV/HV experience, and the ability to mentor other project staff. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; minimum five years related experience or equivalent training.
• Extensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• NFPA 70e Certification required or preferred.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and Electrical Testing and Verification.
• Data Center experience is a plus.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspection and testing documents are complete before energization; coordinate with QC.
• Conduct routine audits to ensure energy isolation program safety on site.
• Lead meetings and update teams on energy program status and risks.
• Create and manage reports for management on energy program updates.
• Coordinate with Commissioning Manager on sequences and testing; support LOTO.
• Review single-line drawings and verify switch positions before activation.
• Oversee grounding/earthing removal and final inspections.
