M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead and oversee safety, energy isolation, and commissioning activities for large-scale mission critical MEP systems.

You will drive safe energization processes, coordinate with CX teams, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E while advancing electrical safety improvements on site. The role requires extensive field experience with MV/LV power distribution, LOTO procedures, and strong leadership under tight schedules.

Qualifikationen

• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years of applicable experience in mission critical facilities and electrical infrastructures.
• In-depth knowledge of MV (>1000V) and LV (<1000V) power distribution SOPs.
• Ability to isolate energy sources with back feeds and perform absence of voltage verifications.
• NFPA 70E knowledge and certification.
• Hands-on startups, LOTO, and absence of voltage verification experience.
• Leadership experience in electrical field, preferably overseeing Commissioning.
• Ability to make decisions in high-pressure environments with condensed schedules.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and how to read blueprints and one-lines.

Aufgaben

• Review procedures, hazard analyses, and permits to ensure safe working conditions.
• Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to test and validate installations and performance.
• Coordinate energizations/de-energizations with energy marshals and stakeholders.
• Lead pre-energization and energization kick-off meetings for first-of-kind energizations.
• Understand Commissioning plan and Safety Plan related to energization of equipment.
• Advance electrical safety improvements on the job and for future designs.
• Implement the site-specific Electrical Safety Plan.
• Review Near Energized Work scenarios and develop risk assessments for energized environments.
• Field presence during major Commissioning or Energy Isolation activities for oversight.
• Coordinate with Cx Lead on daily operations.
• Participate in Safety LOTO inspections and audits.
• Coordinate LOTO and outage requests with MC Dean Safety, GC, Client and vendors.
• Coordinate energization requirements and impacts to the Commissioning schedule.
• Coordinate access and egress of access-controlled areas.
• Train new and existing employees in Energy Isolation processes and LOTO competencies.
• Attend and participate in daily Commissioning meetings and weekly all-hands meetings.
• Develop, review, and approve LOTO permits.
• Lead MC Dean ORMs safety briefings with Cx team/vendors.
• Ensure PPE and tools are suitable for use.
