Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Energy Marshal to oversee the electrical energy isolation program at a mission-critical site. This role requires deep knowledge of MV/LV energy systems, NFPA 70E, LOTO, and commissioning processes for 24x7 operations.

You will coordinate with safety, engineering, and construction teams to ensure safe energization, testing, and background compliance across large MEP infrastructure. Strong leadership under pressure is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years of applicable field engineering experience in mission-critical facilities and electrical infrastructures.
• Knowledge of MV (>1000V) and LV (<1000V) power distribution SOPs.
• Ability to isolate energy sources and perform absence of voltage verifications.
• NFPA 70E knowledge and certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical energy isolation program management at the site for MEP energy.
• Coordinate energy isolation activities with MC Dean Safety, GC, Client and subs.
• Lead pre-energization and energization kick-off meetings for first-of-kind energizations.
• Review commissioning plans relating to energization of equipment on job sites.
• Develop risk assessments for energized work environments and ensure safe practices.
• Provide field presence during commissioning and energy isolation activities for oversight.
• Coordinate LOTO permits and outages with stakeholders and team.
• Attend daily commissioning meetings and team-wide briefings.
• Ensure PPE and tools are suitable for use on site.
