Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an experienced Energy Marshal to lead safety and compliance for large-scale datacenter and MEP systems. You will ensure safe work conditions, manage energization activities, and coordinate with commissioning teams to implement electrical safety plans.

Strong leadership and NFPA 70E certification are required. Responsibilities include reviewing procedures, performing risk assessments in energized environments, and leading LOTO and safety audits on a high-stakes jobsite.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED plus 10+ years of industrial/commercial field engineering experience in mission critical facilities and electrical infrastructures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical one-lines, and construction drawings.
• NFPA 70E knowledge and certification; experience with LOTO and energy isolation verifications.

Responsibilities

• Review procedures, job hazard analyses, and permits to ensure safe electrical work conditions.
• Coordinate energizations/de-energizations with energy marshals and stakeholders.
• Lead pre-energization and energization kick-off meetings for first-of-kind equipment/systems.
• Support commissioning teams with Electrical Safety Plan implementation and LOTO processes.
• Develop risk assessments for energized environments and ensure safe work practices.
• Participate in daily commissioning meetings and safety inspections, including LOTO audits.
