Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Construction Engineer to support the successful delivery of projects in Virginia. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure requirements, timelines, and quality standards are met while maintaining safety and integrity on site.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers on technical questions, monitoring schedules and budgets, and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 0–4 years of construction engineering, project engineering, or related field experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinates with project managers and teams to address technical questions and resolve general project issues.
• Monitors project schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances for timely corrective actions.
• Supports implementation of standard QA and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
• Prepares and maintains project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
• Identifies opportunities for incremental improvements and contributes to leading practices.
• Participates in project meetings and communicates updates to team members and stakeholders.
