Job summary

DPR Construction in Reston, VA is seeking a capable Construction Project Engineer to support successful project delivery. You will work with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to meet requirements, timelines, and quality standards, while tracking progress and addressing routine issues.

You will contribute to continuous improvement through sharing knowledge and supporting standard QA and safety practices across phases of construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing drawings, specifications and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project goals.
• Maintains regular field presence to support safe work execution and attendance at safety meetings.
• Coordinates with project managers to address standard technical questions and general issues.
• Monitors standard project schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances.
• Supports implementation of standard quality assurance and safety protocols across project phases.
• Prepares and maintains project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
• Participates in meetings and communicates updates to team members and stakeholders.
