Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Construction Engineer to support successful project delivery with hands-on field involvement and strong team collaboration. You will work with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to meet requirements, timelines and quality standards while ensuring safety and compliance on site.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and submittals, tracking schedules and budgets, maintaining project documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field.
• 0–4 years of experience in construction engineering or a related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project goals, while maintaining regular field presence to support safe work execution, including attendance at safety meetings such as stretch and flex and engagement in high-risk activity planning and controls.
• Coordinates with project managers and project teams to address standard technical questions and resolve general project issues.
• Monitors standard project schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances to support timely corrective actions based on established guidelines.
• Supports the implementation of standard quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
• Prepares and maintains project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
• Identifies opportunities for incremental improvements and contributes to the development of leading practices with guidance.
• Participates in project meetings and communicates updates to team members and stakeholders.
