Job summary

Carolina Handling LLC, a Raymond Dealer, is seeking a Dock & Door Service Technician in Huntsville, AL. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot dock and door equipment, including doors, dock levelers, locks, safety gates, and truck shelters, while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

You will promote maintenance programs, represent the dealership professionally, and work with the service team to meet customer needs and company goals.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• One to three years’ relevant experience and/or training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of DC/AC electricity, motor control and wiring preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems preferred.
• Welding and cutting torch experience preferred.
• Lift truck and scissor lift operation experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform all service, installations, and scheduled maintenance efficiently and effectively, in line with company procedures.
• Diagnose faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation of units and systems to identify the extent and cause of malfunction.
• Assess installation job sites, evaluating unit functionality and system operations to identify and address potential installation challenges.
• Maintain records of all service work and repairs performed in line with company procedures. Turn in paperwork in a timely fashion, ensuring honesty, accuracy, and legibility.
