Carolina Handling, LLC is seeking a Dock & Door Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on customer equipment. You will lead a team, ensure 100% SM completion, and keep WIP under 30 days while maintaining high efficiency and safety standards.

You will diagnose faults, service equipment, and maintain records, while traveling to customer sites and supporting dispatch and management to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.

Competenze

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• One to three years’ relevant experience and/or training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of DC electricity and AC electricity, motor control, and wiring preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems preferred.
• Welding and cutting torch experience preferred.
• Lift truck and scissor lift operation experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Lead and support a team of technicians to maintain 100% completion of scheduled maintenance.
• Manage WIP to 30 days or less and maintain labor hour efficiency at/above the goal.
• Achieve First Fix Rate targets and perform SM audits for quality and compliance.
• Assist in managing van inventories and optimize parts mix for efficiency.
• Diagnose faults, perform maintenance and repairs, and keep accurate service records.
• Operate equipment for testing and demonstrations and ensure proper operation.
• Complete safety training and maintain a safe work environment with a clean driving record.
• Travel daily to customer sites and be available for occasional overnight travel.
• Maintain company-provided service van, tools, and uniforms; support teamwork with dispatch and management.
• Communicate with Parts and Sales to meet customer needs and report issues.
• Uphold professionalism and loyalty to Carolina Handling’s reputation for quality service.

Conoscenze

Basic mechanical skills

1-3 years relevant experience

DC/AC electricity knowledge

Hydraulic systems knowledge
