Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage service truck inventory, and document work using iOS devices and TRAIT app.

The role requires DOT/FMCSA compliance, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections, PMs and repairs performed in mobile/field environment.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and safety requirements.
• Must have DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical if needed.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a service truck.

Responsabilités

• Perform DOT inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair light, medium and heavy-duty equipment in mobile service.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose using handheld devices and diagnostic tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repair quality and safety.
• Maintain parts inventory on the service truck and document repairs.
• Submit DOT forms and repair orders with accurate notes.
• Coordinate with management for approvals and PO numbers.
