Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Site Support Technician to provide Level 1 support for Mercy-owned desktop hardware, peripherals, and network equipment at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

This full-time role includes asset management, routine audits, and software support to keep the desktop computing environment effective across locations. The position covers field visits, end-user training, hardware deployment, and adherence to security policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, information systems, or related IT field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and customer support during field visits.
• Complete work orders and incidents for hardware issues.
• Diagnose errors and determine solutions.
• Deploy and track new desktop hardware and peripherals.
• Maintain asset inventory compliance.
• Perform end-user training on hardware and software standards.
• Assist Hardware Lifecycle Management with configuration, RMAs, and decommissioning.
• Perform warm hand-offs of priority tickets.
• Perform preventive maintenance for desktop hardware and peripherals.
• Ensure security policies are followed at every location.
• Provide 24x7 support for Priority 1 and 2 incidents.
• Travel up to 125 miles may be required.
