Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services is seeking Field Data Technicians for outdoor data collection on utility and fiber facilities. The role requires hiking between spans, capturing detailed measurements and photos to support outside plant projects.

The position involves routine overnight travel (1–2 weeks at a time) with weekends at home and occasional longer stays. Training will be provided to perform all duties safely and professionally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of outdoor work-related experience.
• Ability to travel and stay away from home for 1–2 weeks at a time.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Comfort with technology and basic computer use, GPS map reading.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and lift 15–20 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data on outdoor utility/fiber facilities and pole attachments.
• Submit organized data including maps, notes, and images for projects.
• Operate and maintain field equipment (tablet, camera, measuring tools).
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field for clients.
• Coordinate with project management daily and follow safety protocols.
