Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians for outdoor data collection on electric utility and telecom projects. The role involves hiking between poles, measuring heights and spans, and capturing data to support design and engineering. Training provided; position requires routine overnight travel 1–2 weeks away from home, with weekends at home and occasional longer assignments. Must be reliable, communicate well, and work safely as a field representative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Ability to hike outdoors and lift 15–20 lbs regularly.
• Basic GPS map reading and data entry skills.
• Willingness to travel overnight 1–2 weeks at a time.
• Reliable transportation and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data for fiber optic and utility facilities.
• Measure attachment heights, spans, angles, etc.
• Submit organized data with maps, notes and images.
• Operate and maintain tablet, camera and measuring tools.
• Travel and work safely in varied terrain.
• Represent Osmose in the field and coordinate with project management.
