Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed outdoor data for electric and telecom facilities. The role involves hiking between utility poles to capture data and support outside plant engineering and fiber-optic construction projects.

This is an outdoor, field-based position requiring routine overnight travel (1–2 weeks away from home). Training will be provided; home most weekends with some longer assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Ability to travel and work outdoors in all weather.
• Experience in safety programs or safety protocols preferred.
• 1 year outdoor work experience and ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data for fiber optic and utility facilities.
• Submit organized data including maps, notes and images.
• Operate and maintain field equipment (tablet, camera, measuring tools).
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field.
• Communicate daily with project management.
