Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed technical information about electric utility and telecom facilities. This outdoor role requires hiking between utility poles to capture data for outside plant engineering and fiber-optic construction projects.

This position involves routine overnight travel, 1–2 weeks away from home, with weekends home and occasional longer stays. Training will be provided to perform all duties safely and independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Outdoor work experience preferred.
• Ability to travel overnight.
• Comfort with technology and field data collection.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outdoor environment to collect field data for engineering and design of fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized, detailed data for each project including maps, field notes and images.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as tablet, camera, measuring tools and PPE.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field and with customers.
• Communicate daily with project management team.
• Work safely and independently.
