Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians for outdoor data collection across utility infrastructure. The role involves hiking between spans to record attachment heights, spans, angles, and capture data for fiber-optic projects. Training will be provided.

This position requires routine overnight travel, often 1-2 weeks away from home, with weekends at home and occasional longer stays; a comprehensive benefits package and weekly pay are noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Outdoor work in all weather with physical demands.
• Basic GPS/map reading and computer familiarity.
• Ability to travel up to multi-week assignments.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data on fiber optic and utility facilities outdoors.
• Measure heights and span distances; record data accurately.
• Submit organized data, maps, notes and photos for projects.
• Operate and maintain tablets, cameras and measuring tools.
• Travel and work independently, representing Osmose in the field.
