Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to collect detailed data on electric utility and telecom facilities in outdoor environments. You'll measure attachment heights, span distances and angles to support fiber-optic and outside plant projects.

Training will be provided and accuracy is essential. The position requires routine overnight travel typically 1–2 weeks at a time, with weekends at home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel overnight 1–2 weeks at a time.
• Able to lift 15 to 20 lbs regularly.
• Ability to read GPS maps and follow data collection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data in outdoor environments for engineering and design of fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data for each project, including maps and field notes.
• Operate and maintain field equipment (tablet, camera, measuring tools, PPE).
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field and coordinate with project teams.
• Work safely and independently, communicating daily with project management.
