Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed technical information on electric utility and telecom facilities.

The position is outdoors, requiring hiking between spans of utility poles to capture data that supports design and engineering projects. Training will be provided; overnight travel of 1–2 weeks is common, with weekends at home and occasional longer assignments.

Qualifications

• Outdoor field work experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret GPS maps.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data on utility and telecom facilities in outdoor settings.
• Measure attachment heights, span distances, and other structural data.
• Submit organized data with maps, notes, and photos.
• Operate and maintain field equipment including tablets and cameras.
• Communicate daily with project management and work independently.
• Adhere to safety programs and standard operating procedures.
